BATON ROUGE, LA – State Treasurer John Kennedy lauded Gov. John Bel Edwards Tuesday for calling on state Sen. Troy Brown to resign.

“Sen. Brown has been arrested twice now on domestic violence charges. He needs to resign his seat and focus on his personal problems,” said Treasurer Kennedy. “Domestic violence is a serious issue, and it’s disrespectful to victims of this horrible crime for Sen. Brown to continue to hold such an important office. I’m in full agreement with Gov. Edwards that Sen. Brown needs to submit his resignation.”
