Important Notice for the 2014 reporting cycle! Louisiana requires that all reports containing 25 or more records include an encrypted electronic file in NAUPA Standard Format. Reports received without an electronic file will be returned and the report will not be considered as timely filed. Louisiana reserves the right to assess penalties and interest if non-compliant reports are not immediately corrected. It is your responsibility to make sure your file is compliant.
It is our desire to make your reporting of unclaimed property as easy and secure as possible. Below are links to two software packages that can be used to create your file. In addition to these two choices, most other vendors of unclaimed property reporting software will create files in a properly encrypted format. Please do not send unencrypted data or paper reports by mail.
Also, please note that the Louisiana Report of Unclaimed Property Form UP-1 (or a substitute containing the Official Verification of Report language) must accompany your payment.
